The MTN Lodge, located at 373 Palomino Trail in Ridgway, has reached an agreement to serve as workforce housing for the new Four Seasons resort in Mountain Village for at least the next four years. Initially, construction workers will stay in the hotel’s 52 rooms, but later the agreement calls for resort workers to stay there after construction is completed. The lodge is the second-largest hotel in the county, and it has more than half of the hotel rooms available in Ridgway. The deal means the hotel will operate at full capacity, something the owners say they’ve struggled to reach year-round. But local officials are concerned about the impacts and the town of Ridgway may require a change in use for the property. Photo by Mike Wiggins | Ouray County Plaindealer
