Crystal Reservoir transfer bill passes Senate committee
A bill to transfer ownership of Crystal Reservoir to the city of Ouray took another step forward last week.
The U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources unanimously approved the bill. It needs the approval of the full Senate and President Donald Trump’s signature before it becomes law.
The legislation would convey approximately 45 acres of federal land, including the reservoir, Full Moon Dam and Full Moon Ditch, from the U.S. Forest Service to the city at no cost to the city. In exc...
