August 27, 1960 – July 7, 2026

Born Charles John Turner on August 27, 1960, in Nashua, NH, CJ “Turbo” Turner comes full circle to rest beside his beloved Mother, Joanne Turner. CJ was one of a kind, reflected in his visionary designs and award-winning home and landscape projects. A passionate abandon for the outdoors took him from the wilds of Colorado and Montana to Maine’s forests and Isle au Haut. Loyally beside him in life’s adventures were CJ’s canine companions: Buck, Nitro and beloved Blue Heelers. CJ lived fast, loved hard and never stopped.

CJ was legendary on the slopes, whether aboard skis or his preferred monoski. Starting on Outer Limits at Killington, VT, CJ went on to compete in the pro mogul tour on the US Ski Team. Stunt man escapades included an Alps chase scene for the film Time Master. Ripley’s Believe it or Not captured his “rocket ski” spectacle. CJ’s awe-inspiring style was recognized in ski towns across the country.

Faith returned and was reflected in CJ’s compassion for others. He established “God’s Hunger Helpers” through which he personally brought food and warm clothing directly to ones struggling with hunger or homelessness. He had his share of struggle and suffering and tried to help others without judgment as he hoped to be forgiven for his own mistakes.

CJ is survived by his father Charles Turner (Rosemary), 5 children Hans (Caitlin), Heidi (Bragdon), Sol and Haley Turner; as well as Sophia Blais. 3 beloved grandchildren include Norah, Kiera and Nathan. CJ’s siblings and families: Mary, Sue, John and Joanna mourn him. Beloved friends and collaborators also grieve this loss.
