The combined Ridgway-Ouray-Silverton track and field team sent five members to state this year, all from the boys’ team. The competition took place in Lakewood, in a series of events from Thursday to Saturday.

Ouray senior Roman Sackman edges out Limon High School’s Lohgan Bottjer in the Class 2A 100-meter dash at the Colorado State Track and Field Championships in Lakewood last week. Sackman finished second in the race with a time of 11:18.
