Tourism fund back in black
After months of languishing in the red, Ouray’s tourism fund is comfortably back in the black, increasing the chances it will finish the year with a positive fund balance.
Through the end of September, tourism fund revenues exceeded expenses by a little more than $55,000. The fund, subsidized by the city’s 3.5 percent lodging tax, had taken in $354,440 in the first nine months of the year and spent $299,348.
