Ouray Realty and Investments has helped families move into and out of their homes in Ouray County for over 25 years. This past holiday season, however, the company made a move of their own to a new office located at 305 6th Ave.
The relocation from its long-time Main Street office was prompted by the need for a more efficient space to accommodate the staff.
"There are fewer folks in the office and we don't need as much room anymore," said managing broker Bill Chipley.
It's hard to say whether business has been affected by the change from a Main Street address, as the company has just moved and the season is a bit slower. Although, with newly hired miners and their families still making moves into Ouray County, Chipley said he has been contacted by those looking for rentals in the area, especially in Ridgway.

Chipley, who began working at ORI in 2003, also opened Ridgway Mountain Management and Real Estate office several years ago. Now that the two offices have combined, he works out of the Ouray office when he's not working from his coffee table at home.
Aside from helping people buy and sell property, ORI offers property management services for those looking for a second home during the seasons, and vacation rentals. ORI serves the Ouray, Ridgway, Log Hill and surrounding Ouray County areas, including some properties in Montrose.
