I just watched (well, when I first wrote this) the president of the U.S. meet with seven key European leaders, along with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. They were obsequiously complimentary and the U.S. president was embarrassing. The president claimed that he has concluded deals to end six different wars. Of course, that is not true. Colorado began its special legislative session on Aug. 21 called by the governor as a result of the federal passage of the big, ugly bill. Colorado had a balanced budget, but now it must find almost $800 million to cut.
