Ridgway State Park is planning to construct a new group campground, after receiving $1.5 million in funding from the state for major improvements and infrastructure.

The park is one of 12 selected in Colorado for $20 million in projects, approved with Gov. Jared Polis signing two bills into law on Sunday. Initial plans call for building a group camping area large enough for 15 RV sites and 10 walk-in tent sites at Ridgway.
