McLachlan secures third term in House District 59

Democrat Barbara McLachlan won a third term representing House District 59, defeating Republican challenger Marilyn Harris, according to unofficial election results.

The Durango resident received 29,193 votes — roughly 55 percent — compared to 23,535 votes for Harris, a Pagosa Springs Republican. McLachlan won four of the six counties in the district, including Ouray County, where she secured roughly 600 more votes than Harris.
