Ridgway senior libero Elsie Hargreave tries digging up an Ignacio attack during the Lady Demons' Sept. 23 home loss in Class 2A/1A San Juan Basin League action. Ridgway's road got rockier on Sept. 26 with a three-set loss at circuit force Dolores, but the squad then split its two matches at a Ouray-hosted triangular on Oct. 3. Ridgway lost in three to non-league Center, but tripped hosting Ouray in four sets and ended the day at 2-9 overall while remaining 1-6 in league (the test against Ouray did not count for the SJBL standings). The Lady Demons were to next head to non-league Olathe (9-4, 8-1 2A/1A Western Slope) on Oct. 6, then host nonleague Cedaredge (11-2, 7-2 2A/1A WSL) on the Oct. 8.
