September 1, 1966 “We definitely intend to continue pushing forward with plans for a college in Ouray,” stated Warren Gibbs, speaking for the board of directors at a meeting last Saturday. Directors present at the meeting were chairman Robert Jindra, Ray Schey and Gibbs. It was further stated that as soon as suitable land is transferred to the corporation, preliminary work to raise the necessary funds can begin. There was a general feeling among the directors that the initial $200,000 can be obtained in the near future.
