Ouray County Woman’s Club members honored Lois Fisher with the Woman of the Year award at the annual luncheon on Tuesday. Pictured here, from left to right, are Heather Greisz, Fisher and Woman’s Club Co-President Stephanie Cunningham. Fisher was recognized for her long history of volunteering for the club since 2004, especially for her work with the Medical Loan Closet, which is a resource for the community and provides items such as wheelchairs, crutches and other medical-related items for those who need to borrow them. Fisher has a reputation for working quietly in the background, humbly serving others and being someone others can count on. She plans to relocate to be near family in Michigan after she sells her condo. Also nominated for the award were Hazel Price, Amy Exstrum and Sveri Stromsta May.
