After-school craft time for elementary-aged students featuring watercolor ornaments, cards and bookmarks from 4–4:45 p.m. at the Ouray Public Library, 320 Sixth Ave.

Tech Thursday – Get help with quick tech problems from 4-6 p.m. at the Ridgway Public Library, 300 Charles St. Walk-ins welcome.

Sewing class: Learn to make mug rugs (cozy coasters). From 1-3 p.m. at the Ridgway Public Library, 300 Charles St. Sign up at the front desk.

Friday, December 19

Music Bingo, free to play, starts at 7 p.m. at the Wright Opera House, 472 Main St. in Ouray.

“Gin and Gingerbread” 6-8 p.m. at the Sherbino Theater, 604 Clinton St. in Ridgway. $35, must register in advance at sherbino. org.

Saturday, December 20

“Desolation, a night of storytelling with Craig Childs,” 7 p.m. at the Sherbino Theater, 604 Clinton St. in Ridgway. Tickets $25 reserved at sherbino.org, general admission $20.

“Harps, Hammers & Voices” concert, 3 p.m. at the United Church of the San Juans, 295 N. Lena St. in Ridgway. Free to attend and open to all.

“Soak with Santa” at the Ouray Hot Springs Pool, from 2-4 p.m.

Includes candy canes, cocoa and Santa visits.

Rotary Park Ice Rink opening date, depending on weather.

Thursday, January 1

Polar Bear plunge at the Ouray Hot Springs Pool, at 1 p.m.

Adult pick-up hockey, 6-8 p.m. at the Rotary Park Ice Rink. All experience levels, co-ed players welcome.

KIDS CRAFT TIME: Every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m., every Friday from 11 a.m. – noon at Ridgway Public Library, 300 Charles St. For ages 3+ with adult helpers.
