Danny Michael Corley, lovingly known as Mike, died in Dallas, Texas on November 24, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on May 22, 1945, Mike cherished his time in Ouray, Colorado where he found peace, joy, and connection with the community. A graduate of the University of Texas, Mike built a respected career in the banking industry and served as a Senior Vice President at Sussar Bank. He was known for his discipline, strong work ethic, and dedication to staying active – regularly attending the gym three times a week, even at 80.
While Dallas was his primary home, Ouray held a special place in his heart. He loved caring for the Corley home there, enjoying the mountain landscape, and spending time in the serenity of the region. He was also connected to St. Daniel’s Catholic Church during his time in Ouray along with the Woman’s Club of Ouray County, specifically the rummage sale.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Becky; daughter, Rachel; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Jackie; grandson, Cash; and brother, Gary. Friends and neighbors who knew the Corley family in Ouray will remember Mike as steady, kind, humble, and deeply devoted to the people he loved.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas on Wednesday, December 10th, from 2:00-3:00pm.
