City attorney resigns
Ouray City Attorney Carol Viner is retiring from her position with the city after nearly a decade.
During a Sept. 2 city council meeting, Mayor Ethan Funk said the city will rely on Glenwood Springs-based contract attorney Karp Neu Hanlon until it hires a permanent replacement.
City leaders hired the firm during a June 16 council meeting for help with land title issues. Attorneys with the firm will be paid the same hourly rate outlined in that contract for their other work. Funk said the city hire...
