THURSDAY, JANUARY 30

DANCE: Ridgway Ecstatic Dance, from 7-9 p.m. at The Sherbino, 604 Clinton St., Ridgway. $15 per person. Tickets and details/participation agreement at sherbino.org.

THEATER: Play-does Improv Show in the Tavern at the Wright Opera House, 472 Main St. Ouray. Tickets $5, show starts at 7 p.m.

HOCKEY: Adult co-ed hockey matches from 7-10 p.m. at the Rotary Park Ice Rink, weekly games on Thursday nights until Feb. 13, weather permitting.

 

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1

LIVE MUSIC: Niceness, 8 p.m. at The Sherbino, 604 Clinton St. Ridgway. $15 advance tickets, $20 day of show. Tickets at sherbino.org.

LECTURE: WrightED: “Near Death Experiences” presented by Maria Arapakis (rescheduled). Free enrollment to the first 100 students. 2 p.m., via Zoom. Register at wrightoperahouse.org.

CULINARY CLUB: Learn to make tempura shrimp tacos from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Ouray Community Center kitchen at 320 Sixth Ave. Registration required at the Ouray Public Library. Call 970-325-4616 to sign up.

 

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 6

FREE SEWING CLASS: Basic sewing classes, held from 1-3 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays at the Ridgway Public Library, 300 Charles St. Free, registration required. Call 970-626-5252 or come to the front desk to sign up.

MEETING: Ouray County Republican Central Committee monthly meeting, 6 p.m., Ouray County Land Use building, 111 Mall Road in Ridgway. More information at ourayrepublicans.com.

FREE TOUR: Ouray Ice Park and Box Cañon Park walking tour. Meet at the middle bridge of the Ouray Ice Park – tour is from noon to 2 p.m. For more information contact seanhart@cityofouray.com.

CABIN FEVER DAY: An afternoon of fun, games, skiing and snacks at Lee’s Ski Hill in Ouray. Noon to 4 p.m.

 

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11

VETERANS COFFEE: 10 a.m. – noon at The Sherbino, 604 Clinton St., Ridgway. Veterans welcome, free to attend. More info at sherbino.org.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY: Every Thursday, 6 p.m. at Ridgway Community Church, 685 W. Sherman St., Ridgway. 970-626-5692. This is a confidential 12-step program. It is free and open to the public.

ART SHOW: The Ouray County Arts Association presents Janine Gwaltney’s “Waterfalls in Watercolor” on display from Jan. 3 –Feb. 19 at the Wright Opera House, 472 Main St. in Ouray.
