Ouray Mountain Rescue Team member Sean Hart secures the sign for the organization's Avalance Beacon Park, located across the highway from Crystal Reservoir on Red Mountain Pass. The park provides a place for avalanche beacon training and a spot to practice skills used for finding people buried in avalanches. A free avalanche safety talk is scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ouray Community Center. A demonstration is planned at the park from 10 a.m.-noon on Monday.
