FILM: Climbing Film Tour: Experience the Vertical Life. Short films based on climbing at the Sherbino Theater, 604 Clinton St. Ridgway. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $10 at sherbino.org.

 

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6

LIVE THEATER: Annual radio show “Miracle on 34th Street” presented by the Ouray County Players. Tickets $12 advance, $15 day of show, $5 students at wrightoperahouse.org. 7 p.m., Wright Opera House, 472 Main St. Ouray.

NOEL NIGHT: Holiday celebration in Ridgway, includes tree lighting in Hartwell Park at 5 p.m., carolers perform at 5:15 p.m. after the tree lighting. Winter parade at 5:30 p.m, photos with Santa, holiday train at Ridgway Railroad Museum from 6-8 p.m., several businesses participating. YULE CELEBRATION IN OURAY: Day-long events, including Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Pick up scavenger sheets at the Ouray Visitor Center. Meet Goldie the mini horse at Fellin Park from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Christmas tree lighting around 5:30 p.m. at 701 Main St. followed by caroling. Holiday parade down Main Street at 6 p.m.

CHILI SUPPER & PHOTOS WITH SANTA: 6 p.m. at the Ouray Elks Lodge, 421 Main St.

FESTIVAL OF TREES: From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Keller Williams in the Beaumont Hotel, 505 Main St. in Ouray.

EVENT: Yule Celebration at the Wright Opera House: Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop presented by Weehawken Creative Arts, 1–3 p.m. Tickets and pricing info at weehawkenarts.org. Holiday arts and crafts with Voyager Youth Program in the Community Room, 4-6 p.m. S’mores with Santa’s elves on the corner of Fifth and Main streets, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Storytime with Mrs. Claus, 6-6:30 p.m. Free to attend. POTLUCK AND MEETING: Ridgway-Ouray Community Council potluck dinner and annual meeting. Dinner is at 6 p.m. and meeting starts at 7 p.m. at United Church of the San Juans, 295 N. Lena St., Ridgway. The public is welcome. Visit roccnet.org for more details.
