FILM FESTIVAL: 10th Annual Ridgway Independent Film Festival, Nov. 14-17. Festival pass $100. Thursday day passes are $30. Film blocks $20 each. For a full schedule visit ridgwayfestival.co.

CRAFT TIME: After school craft time featuring “Tar Beach” by Faith Ringgold and Gina Wenger. For elementary students, 4-4:45 p.m. at the Ouray Public Library, 320 Sixth Ave.

MEET THE FINALISTS: City administrator finalists reception, from 5-7 p.m. at the Ouray Community Center, 320 Sixth Ave.

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15

FREE FILM FEST TALK: “The New West on Film,” free talk with Dylan Howell at the Ridgway Independent Film Festival. Doors open at noon, talk starts at 1 p.m. at the Kiva Room at Chipeta Lodge, 304 S. Lena St.

BLOCK PARTY: Ridgway International Film Fest horse-themed art opening and block party. Free. Includes music, dancing, art battles, steampunk Bomber airplane by artist Sean Guerrero. 4 p.m. on Clinton Street from Cora to Laura.

FILM: “What Maisie Knew,” entry by donation, 6 p.m. at the Sherbino Theater, 604 Clinton St. Q&A after with Dylan Howell. Part of the Ridgway International Film Fest.

GAME: Murder Mystery Dinner Party: Murder in the Roaring 20s. Tickets $60 for a speaking role, $65 for a non-speaking role. Ticket sales end at 9 p.m. on Nov. 11. Suitable for ages 13+. 6:30 p.m., Wright Opera House, 472 Main St. Ouray.

THEATER: “Almost, Maine” play performed by Ouray School students. 7-9 p.m. at the Ouray School Abram Performing Arts Center, 400 Seventh Ave. $5.
