These white boxes delivered to the parcel north of the old Biota building in Ouray during the first week of May are prefabricated homes, delivered from the Fading West factory in Buena Vista for the Rural Homes Waterview affordable housing project. The first phase of construction includes 21 homes. This is the second project Rural Homes has launched in Ouray County – the first was the Wetterhorn project in Ridgway, which still has one home available for purchase. The lottery for the Waterview Homes project opened this week and closes June 27. Photo courtesy Trevor Croke with Rural Homes
