FIVE QUALIFY FOR STATE

Five members of the combined Ouray-Ridgway-Silverton track and field team qualified for the state championships and will be competing in Lakewood at Jeffco Stadium this week.

Vinny Schierenberg will compete in the 400-meter dash and the 4×200 relay. Caleb Crandall will compete in four events – the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, and the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races. Roman Sackman will compete in three events – the long jump, 100-meter dash and 4×100 relay. Landen Hill and Jeep Demuth will both compete in the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races.
