Dear Editor: My wife and I used to travel to Ouray often when we lived in Colorado. It’s an absolutely beautiful town.
I was shocked to read about your newspapers being stolen this week, apparently to cover up the facts about the terrible incident that allegedly occurred in the police chief’s residence. The irony is that I’d have never heard about it in Ohio if the papers weren’t stolen.
This is why I love local newspapers. They are not only a great source of local information but another “checks and balances” to keep folks honest.
Sounds like actions need to be taken against a lot of folks … those involved in the terrible incident, the police chief, and your newspaper thief.
Keep doing what you’re doing at the Ouray County Plaindealer.
All the best!
