Thomas Wilkins Henderson

Died August 4, 2023

Tom Henderson, a man of character, humor and endurance, left his earthly life from home in Ouray on August 4, 2023, after one week in hospice care. Tom lived a long and full life despite having had numerous serious illnesses.

From his childhood home in Frost, TX, he moved to Austin and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas, where he met and married Margaret. His thirty-year career was in service to disabled persons. He enjoyed close family ties with his brothers in relationships filled with humor and caring. Upon retirement, he and Margaret moved to Ouray.

Thanks go to the Ouray community and friends for support and kindnesses throughout the years.

With most sincere gratitude for their excellent service in responding to calls for assistance from beginning to end, special thanks go to: Ouray County Emergency Medical Services Team Ouray Police Officer Justin Crandall Ouray Courthouse Security Officer Leo Rasmusson No service will be held and private burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Tom often said, “You can never have enough good times.” So, in memory of Tom, enjoy a moment of silence to count your blessings, for they will give you great pleasure and sustain you during challenging times.
