    WALKING TOUR: True Grit walking tours start at Ridgway’s Hartwell Park gazebo, 3 p.m. Details: 469-682-9710. Free, donations welcome. Every Friday through Sept. 1.

    SUMMER EVENING PROGRAM: “Geology of the San Juans” by John Mitchell, retired geologist. 7 p.m. at Ridgway State Park.

    RUMMAGE SALE: Woman’s Club of Ouray County Annual Rummage Sale, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Ouray Community Center.

    FREE TRAIN RIDES: Free rides every Saturday through mid-October, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Ridgway Railroad Museum, 200 N. Railroad St., Ridgway.

    ARCHERY: Learn how to use a compound bow or practice what you know.

    Equipment, targets, staff and volunteers on-site. Ages 8+. Smaller gear and targets available for younger participants. Visitor Center lawn, Dutch Charlie entrance, Ridgway State Park, 9- 11 a.m.

    TRIVIA: Trivia night at the Tavern at the Wright Opera House, Ouray, 7 p.m. Free to play. Hosted by Erin McIntyre. Half-off bar tab for the winning team.

    SUNDAY, JULY 2

    CHURCH EVENT: Sunday in the Park with guest speaker, David Brickner, executive director, Jews for Jesus. Hartwell Park, Ridgway, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free event. Music by Chris Mullen Music. Food catered by True Grit Cafe Sponsored by Ridgway Community Church and Colona Community Church.

    MONDAY, JULY 3

    LUNCHEON: Senior Luncheon by Neighbor to Neighbor at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 329 Fifth Ave., noon.

    LIVE MUSIC: Tthe Ouray Volunteer Fire Department presents CW & Twenty Hands High, Fellin Park, Ouray. 6-10 p.m. $15 cover at the gate. Full bar and food vendors. Fundraiser for the fire department.

    TUESDAY, JULY 4

    RACE: Ourayce 10k race, fundraiser for Home Trust of Ouray County. Pre-register at ultrasignup.com. Race begins at Sixth and Main streets at 8 a.m.

    FOURTH OF JULY PARADE: 10 a.m. on Main Street in Ouray. Parade starts at the south end of town and moves north.

    Stand on the east side of the street if you don’t want to get sprayed by the fire department. A military jet flyover will follow the parade.

    ELKS LODGE BARBECUE: Ouray Elks Lodge, 421 Main St. Starts after the parade. $15 per plate. Do-it-yourself Bloody Marys $7.

    COMMUNITY BARBECUE: The Western Hotel & Spa, 210 Seventh Ave. in Ouray. From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. $14 tickets sold at door. Live music, complimentary lemonade, outdoor games.

    LIVE MUSIC: Neon Sky Band, 5-9 p.m., Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot Springs, 125 Third Ave. $30 for locals, $39 for non-locals. Price includes day pass to hot springs.

    KID GAMES: Immediately after parade ends around 11 a.m., Fellin Park, presented by the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department.

    WATER FIGHTS: 2 p.m. at the intersection of Sixth and Main streets.

    JEEP PARADE: 9 p.m., Main Street, Ouray.

    OURAY FIREWORKS SHOW: 9:30 p.m. in Ouray.
