Cracks have developed in several areas at the Ouray Hot Springs Pool, including this one in the hot pool, as a result of temperature and water flow problems at the pool. Without enough hot water to keep pools hot at full capacity overnight, staff partially drain the pools at night, then refill them in the morning. City expands options for pool fixes
Ouray city leaders emerged from a work session Monday with no obvious answers on how to boost depleted water flows and sagging temperatures at the Hot Springs Pool.
But one thing became clear: Officials want to throw the door wide open on a variety of potential solutions to a complex problem rather than zero in on one or two possibilities, both in the coming weeks and months and for many years down the road.
