‘The Storm in the Barn’ blends history, fantasy
Any student of history knows the Dust Bowl, the decade-long disaster that ravaged tens of millions of acres of land across the southern plains of the U.S. in the 1930s, was solved through a combination of improved farming methods and rain — glorious, regular rain that finally washed away the drought that had gripped the prairies and ruined lives.
