City begins enforcing snow removal rules
The city of Ouray’s crackdown on property owners for failing to clear snow from their sidewalks in a timely manner has elicited a mixture of public praise and criticism.
City officials mailed 38 letters to residents and business owners on Dec. 21 advising them they had failed to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks as mandated by a revised ordinance city councilors adopted in November.
