Preschooler Cece Neill works on a craft project with stickers and glue in her Ridgway classroom. The district currently has 24 preschoolers enrolled in its two classes, most of whom pay tuition. Starting next fall, a new state program will provide 10 hours per week of tuition-free preschool to all 4-year-olds, but local school districts are still waiting for information about funding and requirements.
