Ouray eyes boilers to increase sagging pool temps

Ouray eyes boilers to increase sagging pool temps

The city of Ouray is considering purchasing a pair of boilers to boost water temperatures at the Ouray Hot Springs Pool, a major investment city leaders say is critical for the future of the city’s most popular tourist attraction.

At the end of a two-hour work session Monday afternoon, city councilors informally directed staff to begin pursuing the potential construction of a new pump house that would feature two boilers and enough room to potentially add a heat exchanger in the future.
