Anthony Dean Vallejos

Dec. 24, 1964-Oct. 26, 2022

Anthony D. Vallejos, age 57, of Ouray, CO, passed away on October 26, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ, where he was residing for the past two years, of natural causes. Anthony was born 12/24/1964 to Paul L. Vallejos & Cecilia L. (Vallejos) Harvey.

After graduating Ouray High School 1982. He met his former spouse Kristy Powell in Ouray. and married in 1989. They later moved to Olathe, Kansas, to raise their family of three children and five grandchildren.

Anthony enjoyed his work as an apprentice in the printing industry. He was also very talented in painting houses and commercial buildings.

He was known for his love of fireworks and his dedication to coming back home for the 4th of July celebrations. You could not be around him long before getting caught up in his infectious chuckle. He was a gentle spirited man and brought comfort, encouragement, and friendship to all he encountered.

He is survived by his children Lyndsey Erin Coday, (Spencer), Anthony Tyler, Evan Mathew. Five grandchildren, Riley, Jackson, Mason, Logan, and Emerson. His mother, Cecilia Harvey. His siblings, Barbara Gallegos, Paul Vallejos, Patsy Borum, Steve Vallejos, Nick Valleos, Frank Harvey, Theresa Vierra, Joe Vallejos, Thomas Vallejos, Marty Vallejos, Ray Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his father Paul L. Vallejos, Phyllis E. Foster, (sister), Firman C. Harvey, (stepfather).

Services will be held November 14, 2022 at St Daniel’s Catholic Church 614 Fifth Street, Ouray. Mass at 11:00am followed by luncheon. Burial service to be at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery 18510 Highway 550 Ridgway, CO.
