Sales activity held steady in August in Ouray compared to last year’s record- shattering revenue, an indication of just how popular the city remained as a tourist destination this summer.

The city collected $398,199 in July, about $4,500 more than August 2021. That revenue is remitted to the city in September and reported in October.
