Before Colin Kraft became a Chang Chavkin scholar, he told his dad he might not go to college. As he neared graduating from high school, he worried about paying for school, about digging a hole he would try to climb out of for years after he earned a diploma. He was a self-motivated student, determined to keep learning, but the money part worried him.
