Public transit could roll into county

A public transportation service linking Ouray, Ridgway and Montrose with $5 round trips could be on the road by April 2023, pending the results of a July 14 grant evaluation meeting.

If all goes well, according to Ouray City Administrator Silas Clarke, the three-year project will get a $533,091 injection from the Colorado Department of Transportation, which is to be met by a 25% match pulled together from the city, town of Ridgway and Ouray County.
