After debate, Ouray County commissioners have agreed to ratify the decision made by Sheriff Justin Perry to join the City of Ouray, Town of Ridgway and the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison national forests in rescinding Stage One fire restrictions.

The restrictions were originally enacted June 15, and Perry opted to rescind them on June 28 after monsoonal rains brought moisture to the region and other neighboring agencies removed fire bans.
