Grant aimed at pedestrian improvements in Ouray
The city of Ouray has received an $800,000 state grant to implement a series of improvements aimed at making pedestrians safer on Main Street and by the Visitor Center.
City officials applied for $2.1 million from the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Revitalizing Main Streets Program and received $800,000. The city will provide a $160,000 match in funding that will either come from its general fund or lodging tax revenue.
