Commissioners need to be honest about possible tax hike
Dear Editor:
The Board of County Commissioners is scheming to raise your taxes again. This time it’s a citizen-proposed property tax increase for another four deputies and maybe another tax increase for “child care.”
The citizen proposal had provisions to ensure the new tax will all go to the Sheriff’s Department to prevent any bait and switch with funding.
