Dear Editor:

I had a conversation with a logging truck driver on April 22 concerning his bypassing Ridgway via county roads 24A and 24. I told him it was illegal for his oversized, heavy and dust-producing truck to be on a neighborhood road. After a talk with a county sheriff deputy I learned it was not illegal. It should be. Whether through physical or legal means this type of bypass traffic should be discouraged except for deliveries. I don’t think he was trying to deliver logs to Dallas Mead...
