City modifies accessory unit regs
The Ouray City Council unanimously agreed Monday to tweak the city’s accessory dwelling unit regulations, making a pair of changes they hope will encourage more people to build the units for longterm housing.
Councilors adopted on first reading an ordinance that would eliminate the requirement that, in situations where a property contains both a primary residence and an accessory dwelling unit, at least one of the homes must be owner-occupied.
