Construction on a mixed-use development surrounding Ridgway’s old firehouse could begin early this summer, and the first steps to move the historic jail from the property could begin as soon as next week.

The redevelopment project on the corner of Lena and Clinton streets includes a restaurant, event space, four workforce housing rental units and two condominiums. There will be on-site parking for residents, but no new parking will be created for the commercial units.
