Ouray County ‘squaw’ site one of 28 in Colorado to be renamed
Squaw Gulch in Ouray County is one of 28 geographical sites in Colorado that will be renamed after Secretary of Interior Deb Haaland last year formally declared “squaw” to be a derogatory term.
