I read with interest and a little bit of consternation the article in last week’s Plaindealer entitled “City ceases planning pact with county.” I was Ridgway’s mayor in 2001 when the Town of Ridgway and the City of Ouray each separately entered into similar inter-governmental agreements (IGAs) with the County of Ouray intended to give the municipalities some say in the county planning process.
