A warm, dry January makes it hard to forget 2021
Out with the old, in with the new: January’s a traditional time to take stock of the past year and to anticipate the current one.
Having noted that, 2021 was a year most of us would like to forget.
Major events included the ongoing pandemic, restricted living and previously unimaginable heat-related disasters. One occurred in a relatively unfamiliar place: Lytton, British Columbia set an all-time Canadian heat record (121.3 degrees F) on June 29 and was destroyed by fire the next day.
