The Ouray School Board has selected local business owner and Ouray graduate Tom Fedel to fill an open seat.

The board met in a special meeting Dec. 9 to interview three candidates for the opening. Fedel had previously attempted to run for the school board in the most recent race, but didn’t have sufficient valid signatures on his petition to qualify as a candidate.
