Cemetery beautiful as is
Dear Editor:
I am amazed that in this day and age that someone would want to erect a plastic fence — made from oil-based materials, even if recycled — around the Cedar Hill Cemetery or anywhere, for that matter. This goes contrary to all sustainability and carbon footprint responsibility and sends an adverse message about the natural beauty of Ouray and its environs. I cringe whenever I see vinyl fences, done presumably only to save labor and costs of maintenance. My family from the 1800s are...
