As of Wednesday morning, Ouray County reported two new cases of the virus, confirmed with testing at Montrose Memorial Hospital. Both involved women in their 60s, with one who had been fully vaccinated in March and the other without vaccination.

The county has had five new cases in the past week. Most of the recent new COVID cases involve individuals who did not receive vaccinations, but some recent cases have been “breakthrough” cases involving people who were previously vaccinated.
