Dear Editor:

I would like to see the city of Ouray limit the number of short-term rentals. Most of the Ouray properties bought in the last year were by people from out of the area that do not plan to live here. Part of the economic reasoning for at least some of these people is that they can recoup some or all of their costs by renting their properties short term. If STRs were capped, some of the buyers that planned to use their properties as STRs would likely decide not to try to buy, hopefully ...
