Landslide, flooding close pair of county roads

A small landslide northeast of Ridgway Thursday afternoon damaged a drainage ditch, leading to flooding and damage to a pair of county roads, according to Ouray County Sheriff Justin Perry.

County Roads 8 and 8A remained closed Thursday evening and may be closed through Friday, according to county officials. Road and bridge crews spent the afternoon repairing and cleaning up the roads.
