Ridgway Town Councilors will choose a new person to fill a vacancy on the board at tonight’s meeting, and they have four applicants to choose from.

The vacancy happened when no one applied to run for the seat vacated by former Mayor Pro Tem Eric Johnson, who decided not to run again after serving for 18 years. This is the second spot the council will fill since November, when Tessa Cheek left the council. This position will be filled for one year, until the next council election.
