RESURRECTING RITUALS
Father Nathaneal Foshage paused behind the altar, carefully pulling a blue and white surgical mask over his face.
He adjusted it before stepping out to the front of St. Daniel’s Church, standing at the end of the aisle facing the congregation for the weekly ritual of Holy Communion, a tradition with a few new modifications. His parishioners lined up to receive the communion wafers. Most wore masks and pulled them up or down quickly to put it in their mouths.
