Councilors hone flume-tax ballot language
Ouray city officials are inching closer to asking voters in November to extend a property tax that pays for projects designed to protect homes and businesses from flood damage.
While they didn’t take any formal action, city councilors generally agreed during a Monday work session on the framework of a ballot question that would continue the mill levy at the same rate for another 20 years.
